Darn Kids...

The girls and I went to Kroger yesterday after an exciting morning of library reading hour and lunch at McDonalds. They wanted some strawberries, but they didn't look very good, so we got some blueberries. The girls were really excited about making blueberry pancakes for breakfast. So, this morning we got out all the ingredients and started making the pancakes, gluten free of course. Well, you know how fun it is cooking with a 3 and a 5 year old, but let the games begin. We add all the ingredients together and the girls take turns mixing the batter. I even made triple the batch, so we could warm some up for tomorrow. When we are done mixing, I send the girls into the family room to watch tv while I cook them. They were so excited for their first blueberry pancakes, that I call them back into the kitchen as soon as they start to cool.
Emma "yeah! blueberry pancakes"
Maddie "and we helped make them"
Two minutes later, they are back into the kitchen telling me that they don't like blueberry pancakes and want to know what else they can eat for breakfast. Needless to say, I had to pick the blueberries out of the rest of the batter, so that there would be some pancakes left for them to eat. But, I guess now I have all of the blueberry pancakes that I can eat!
