My Darling Daughter, Emma Rose

Sometimes she makes me laugh, and sometimes she makes me scream! She is such a girly girl, which doesn't come from my side of the family and I am still trying to adjust. Today she is getting her picture taken again at school. They have a class picture taken, which I love those (for those of you that are on Facebook, check out my old class school pictures, hilarious:) and then they take individual pictures with a pretty backdrop. So, last night we had to find the perfect outfit for the pictures and this morning we had to get the hair "just right". Well, after all of those things were done, she preceeds to put on her jacket and pull up the hood, so that her hair doesn't get wet in the rain. Well, there went the perfect hair, so I can't wait to see what these pictures look like. I am sure that this story will remind my Mom about my school picture (I think 1st or 2nd grade). I decided that I didn't want bangs, so when I got to school I fixed them. You know, with the trusty little black comb that they would give you on picture day. I went into the bathroom, parted my hair all by myself, and wet back the bangs. I guess I thought that it looked pretty good, although to this day, I still don't remember doing any of this, but yet my Mom has the picture to prove it. And here it is...

One other story about Emma and then I am done for now. On Tuesday, while we were brushing teeth, she says "Mommy, Miss Brooks (her preschool teacher) said that we have to brush our tougue too while brushing our teeth". And I said "yes, you do". And she said "because we don't want to get TASTE BUGS". I tried not to laugh, and just gave her a hug. I just love some of the things that come out of her mouth. :)

Happy Saturday!

While Don is at Bristol enjoying a long "man style" weekend, I have made my second trip in two days to THE SCRAPYARD. It is a wonderful scrapbook store in town, and Diane takes very good care of me. I have decided to go with a 3 ring binder scrapbook (thanks Steph:) and am trying to get all of my scrapbooks in order. I have had pages everywhere (Emma and Maddie's) and have recently decided to start scrap booking for Sami again (it has only been 6 or 7 years). I have really gotten quite a bit accomplished over the past two days and am really proud of myself. Below are the last of some pages that need to be filed into the proper scrapbook, and I thought that I would share them before I do.
I think that Spring has finally sprung. My daffodils are getting ready to bloom and the birds sound so happy. It is about 65 degrees and the girls are outside playing on the swing set, trikes and playing with chalk. Oh, and yelling and screaming and fighting...
Well, I guess I should go beat them now and get them some dinner.
Have a great weekend!

Happy Hump Day!

What a beautiful day it was. The girls and I went to the River Park to play, and play they did. We were there for 90 minutes, and I must say, time does fly when you're having fun. I hope that Spring is finally here, but after being 75 today, it is only suppose to be in the mid 50's tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, I am hoping that my darling husband will be feeling better so that he can go back to work. He was suppose to go to Wisconsin Monday night for work, but ended up getting sick at his Dad's house Sunday night and had to cancel his big meeting. Fortunately, he stayed with his Dad on Monday and came home on Tuesday. I love him dearly, but not when he is sick. I think you ladies know what I am talking about.
Today I finally got my passenger window fixed. It hasn't work for probably 18 months, and Don had been promising me that he would fix it. So I told him that I wanted it fixed before we left for Disney, which is less than two weeks away. Last summer on vacation it wasn't working when we went to a drive-thru animal safari. The safari was great fun and while driving thru you can feed the animals and they will come right up to you car window, but not such a good idea if the window doesn't roll up very fast.
Here is a picture of one of God's creatures while I was taking a picture of it, actually coming through the window. Unfortunately, he smelled the food that was between my feet on the floor. The next thing I know, he is between my legs chowing down.

Alright, now that you have had sufficient time to stop laughing, here is the rest of the story. Don is yelling at me to roll up a window that doesn't work well. While I am trying to grab the cup of food without getting bit, or destroying my camera (I do have my priorities). I am finally able to get the cup of food and throw it out the window, and all is right with the world, well except for the slobber and the smell. We then continue on with the rest of the safari with my window rolled up (if you push the button up AND push the glass up, it will go up). And then, we come to the longhorns. They were pretty intimidating because we could just see a horn coming through the windshield. It was funny to watch the other cars, but not so funny when it comes to your own.

After what seemed like an eternity of creaping along and blowing the horn, we finally made it past them, and with minimal damage. Just a swinging antenna (not broken, they just flicked it) and a bent side mirrow (they didn't break it either, they just pushed it in) oh, and lots of slobber. So, if you are ever up in Northern Ohio, I highly recommend going there. It really is a lot of fun. The girls also got pony and camel rides and to see some other animals up close. Unfortunately we missed the pig races, but we could hear the people cheering.

Boy did my ADD get me sidetracked, anyway, YEAH!! my window is working fine and I was able to enjoy it today.

After dinner Emma and I went to her ballet and gymnastics class. She really enjoys both classes and I must say, all of the Barbie and Princess movies that she has watched have really paid off. She really isn't bad at the ballet. She just about has some of the hand positions down already, and it has only been three weeks.

Well, I guess this is enough for now. I don't want to overload anyone, especially myself!

I Can't Believe It!!!!

Maddie just pee'd in the potty! After many hours, much screaming (in my head as to not scare her) and many prayers, she has finally done it. There wasn't much, but there was some, and for that I think that we might finally be on our way. I was hoping to have her trained before we go to Disney, which is in two weeks, and we are running out of town. Please pray for us because I am running out of patience, and wine :). I don't know what it is about my girls, but they are so stubborn, especially when it comes to potty training. I had a hard time with Emma too. I guess maybe it is me, because I am the one constant, but I would like to think that it is the Sullivan gene that they possess.

Sami's Scrapbook Layouts

Well, here they are! I did it!!

I can't tell you how much I love my Cricut. It makes scrapbooking so much easier.

Decisions, Decisions...

You don't even want to know how much time I have spent this afternoon trying to find a great layout for my blog. That is time that I will never get back, and could have used better. Oh, well... The girls are on "day 2" of their antibiotics and are slowly getting back to their normal selves. They have been battling a sinus infection and have not had much of an appetite. Emma is on Spring Break this week, so I will have to find something exciting to occupy their time, and mine. Don is out of town for the next couple of days, so I am on my own. Friday night I was able to go to The Scrapyard for a crop. It was a wonderful getaway, and I got several layouts done. Right now I am working on Sami's album, which I haven't done since before moving to Maysville (which was almost 6 years ag0). I am starting small, just 2008, and will work back from there. I will post pictures of what I did as soon as I take them. Well, and after I figure out how to do it.

What Am I Doing???

After seeing a few friends blogs, I have decided to give this a try. Hopefully it will be everything that I invision it being.
